Classified Location (private)

As L looked around the room, he could not help but think this wouldn't last long. It was the third "home" in the week and he knew there would be one more change for safety reasons. He wasn't one to care about these tiny aspects, in fact he himself had devised the idea. He was just growing frustrated with no real connection on Kira's identity.

He shuffled through the files and he shook his head at the lack of connections. This case was becoming more and more complicated as weeks went. He rubbed his forehead and looked down at the papers.

"Justice" he muttered.

He picked up a plate of cake and sat into his comfortable, yet awkward position. He began to eat, but his eyes never strayed away from what was in front of him, the possible identity of Kira.

Soar entered, carrying with her a large cardboard box of manila file folders. She sighed in relief as she placed the box on a table, leaning against that same table to catch her breath. Her eyes swept over the room, noting it was seemingly more gloomy than their previous haunts, but it was home for now.

He looked over to see Soar's tired expression. He noted her posture and decided to show his presence.

"Good afternoon S" he said in his drone tone.

She gave a little start when he spoke, having not noticed that anyone else was present, but calmed when she saw who it was, even smiling slightly.
"Afternoon, have you settled in well?"

He looked at her in an expressionless face. He wondered the question, what was there to settle? Everything was always taken care off.

"Yes......it's settled" he said.

He sat up and placed the plate of cake on the table and walked towards her direction.

"Good to hear." she said, "It always takes me a few days to get used to a new place, no matter how many times we move."

He nodded knowing that to be true. With the years that she had worked alongside him, it always made her uncomfortable for a few days until she got used to it.

"I know S" he said. "No worries, we won't stay here for long"

He looked at the files.

"What are those files?"

She nodded and looked to the files herself. "These files are a compilation of all the histories and records of the victims to date." she explained. "There's quite a lot of them, as you see..."

He picked up a simply file and began to read it. He frowned and placed it back down on the table.

"Anything new since our last location?" he asked.

He hated this case more than anything, he was growing more and more stressed as the case went on.

"More deaths." she sighed in reply. More than anything they had ever worked on before, this case really frightened her, for it seemed that there was supernatural forces at hand, however illogical that was.

He couldn't help but get a migraine through the unsuccessfulness of their mission. The case was in a rut and he hated ruts, he never got anything in a rut.

"All we know so far, is that Kira lives in Kanto" he muttered trying to go over what they knew. "He might be a student considering that the time of the killing is like a class schedule"

He lifted his head and turned to face her.

"Anything else S?"

She considered the information, running through what they'd discovered, and mentally hit herself in the forehead for forgetting something that was crucial information.
"I can't believe I've forgotten, but there's been a message recently that appears to be from Kira." she exclaimed, rushing over to a computer and opening the file containing images.

He raised his brow and walked swiftly towards her direction. As she searched through the computer files he looked over her shoulder with no regard to personal space. He felt a thrill, thinking that maybe they were closer than they had the previous day.

"Here." she proclaimed proudly, moving the various pictures about so they were all visible at once.
"According to the report, five criminals in the same prison died in a period of twelve hours, and each did something peculiar before he died." she explained, gesturing to each. "Each death was a heart attack, of course."

He placed his hand on her shoulder and leaned over to quickly read the article report. He was done in a span of seconds and he turned to face her impressed.

"Continue S" he said.

He truly appreciated her at the moment for her discovery, but to have his verbal approval she needed to arrive at the same conclusion.

It was only when she felt the weight of his palm on her shoulder that she realized with a faint blush how very close they were, though she didn't let this distract her and continued.
She scanned the pictures and reports closely, searching for something that would stick out as a clue.
"He was testing something..." she said slowly. "They all died differently so he could figure something out, what he could make them do maybe?"

He smirked and he showed her his approval by squeezing her shoulder.

"You're a bloody wonder Soar" he said appreciatively.

He was impressed by her resourcefulness and her quick wit.

She glanced back at him, positively glowing at his words. It wasn't often that he spoke much about matters not concerning to cases, and even rarer it was to hear words of praise.

He smiled slightly at her.....that is what he considered a smile and he leaned over and printed out said articles. He pushed himself away from her and patted her side before he did trying to show his thank you.

He took the articles and immediately placed them on the table along with other data.

"Should we start profiling kira?"

"Sounds good to me." she responded, closing out of her files and switching the computer to hibernate.

He nodded.

"Good now dictate as I go along" he said. "We believe Kira is of adolescent age, probably male considering that males have a higher percentage of killing rather than women. Also, he is a well educated male, probably if in Kanto then he is a To-Oh University student. His schedule will match the killing times and he has a strong sense of justice probably taking criminology or philosophical classes"

He turned to face her.

"Anything else?"

She had grabbed a nearby laptop and recorded as he had asked, and stopped her typing when he next addressed her.
"That's all that we have, I think." she consented.

He nodded.

"Now that we have created this profile I believe it might be time for us to introduce ourselves to Kira." he said "Perhaps it's time for me to go out and interact with people that fit this profile. Don't you think?"

She tensed, frowning and nervous. "Wouldn't it be better if you sent me out? I mean, if he were to discover your identity, we'd be lost, but me..." she shook her head. "It'd just be safer."

He looked at her intently.

"You think that you could handle the situation better than I?" he asked bluntly. "You are probably just as antisocial as myself Sora" he said.

He used her real name to emphasis a point.

"If I were to die you and one of my successors would simply continue on the mission. I wouldn't want to put you in danger"
