He began his conversation about the case and who he was. He decided that now he would start a meeting. As he ended the conversation, he pulled his finger back. He turned to face Soar and raised his brow.

"Any thoughts?" he asked.

"They seem kind of wary to work with you." she mused.

He nodded and smirked slightly.

"Yes, when they are not the ones in charge is when they are wary of it all." he replied.

"You would have thought that they had learned to trust you by now." she muttered, still eying the screen. "But then I suppose we have yet to trust them also."

He shrugged.

"They say to earn trust must one trust the other, I don't believe that." he said. "They want us, then they shall hand us their trust first. As for us, well we'll just have to test them won't we?"

He looked at her curiously mulling over a comment, but chose to instead stay quiet.

"That's generally your response to this sort of situation." she agreed, smiling slightly. She was interested to see what he meant by testing them.
Noticing the curious look she was receiving from him, she raised a brow questioningly. "What?"

He shook his head and took a bite of his cake instead. After he swallowed the piece he turned to face her once more.

"I thought it simply amusing that I used the same action with you" he commented.

"That tends to happen sometimes I suppose, especially since we're around each other so much." she shrugged, pulling up a second chair and settling down in it with a soft sigh.

He sighed thinking how she had misunderstood him.

"Sora, you misunderstand me." he began.

He looked at her with his dark sunken eyes and dared not lose eye contact.

" It had started when we were children"

She met his eyes curiously, confused by the abnormal use of her name.
"Oh? Go on..."

He felt that he had opened something that hadn't been mentioned by the pair: childhood. He figured that it wasn't such a great crime so he accepted it.

"Well when we were children I did test you most of the time, as I did others. This is because I wanted to see who I would consider an equal"

"And I passed that test, yes?" she asked, the ghost of a satisfied smile at the corner of her lips. "For I wouldn't be here if I had not."

He couldn't help but let his lips twitch as he heard her ask this question.

"Yes yes" he said his eyes glinting with amusement. "You are the only person who has ever passed"

"I suppose I should feel pretty proud of myself then, shouldn't I?" she said, the smile arriving in full now.

He smirked slightly.

"You really should" he taunted back.

He admitted that he found her smile endearing and that in even dreary situations she always had one when he needed to see it.

She pushed at his shoulder playfully and moved her chair up so she was closer to the computer.
"So, where shall we begin?"

He was surprised by her direct contact with him, but he got up and walked over towards the computer as well.

"Begin with a background check of each of the members of our future colleagues" he said.

"Can do." she responded and opened up the data files containing information on the ICPO.
Yagami... Aizawa.... Mogi.... Ide.... Matsuda.... Ukita.... the names showed up quickly and she copy-pasted each file into their home system.

He saw her do his magic and was proud of her. She was good at what she did.

"Now anything we should deal with? Any quirks, addictions, arrests, family status"

"I can compile a record of our own for each member including all that, it might be useful later." she agreed.

He nodded and stepped a few steps back.

"We need to know our allies just as, if not more than the criminal himself." he said. "We then will now how to interact with them and try to hide their weaknesses in the field"

"Shall I print out the finished documents for you, then?" she questioned, opening a new Word document.

He nodded and patted her shoulder signifying he appreciated it. He took a few steps back towards the other side of the room to call Watari.

"I'll call Watari to set up another meeting" he said.

She couldn't help but to let a small smile form on her face at the contact, and proceeded in her work, copying and editing files.
"Alright, I'll be here if you need me." she responded.

He nodded and began to contact Watari. As he conversed with Watari, he could not help but think that he missed the person that signified his father figure. Watari was the one who aided him in reaching the position in which he was in.

Now that he had retired Watari himself had chosen his current assistant and friend, not that she would know, Sora.
